Designing and Adapting Play Areas (E1.5.9)

Designs, refreshes, and adapts centers or play areas to meet current objectives or expand on children’s interests.

Learning centers and play areas should evolve to stay engaging and purposeful. Teachers design these spaces with intention, refresh materials to spark new curiosity, and adapt activities based on current learning objectives or emerging interests from the children. This ongoing attention to the classroom environment keeps play meaningful and supports children's continued growth and exploration.
