Encourages children’s participation in curriculum activities and lessons

DEFINITIONS

Teachers help children stay interested and involved by inviting them to join in classroom activities and lessons. When children are active participants, they learn more and feel more confident. Teachers can do this by offering choices, asking questions, and making learning fun and hands-on.

In this video, the teacher is encouraging children’s participation in the curriculum activity and lesson. Notice how she encourages their participation by taking turns, narrating actions, demonstrating new ways to make sounds, and encouraging students to try a new action.
