COMPETENCY STATEMENT

Uses questions throughout the day to assess what children know and plan new learning opportunities

DEFINITIONS

Teachers understand what children know by asking different questions throughout the day. Teachers can use this information to plan new activities that build on children's existing knowledge and create more opportunities for intentional and active learning.
